Assessment approach
More than one measure informs the picture.
Tools are selected according to the referral question, developmental history, current functioning and individual circumstances. No single interview, observation, questionnaire or score determines a diagnosis.
MIGDAS-2
A sensory-based interview gathering qualitative information about communication, relationships, emotions, sensory experiences and interests.
ADOS-2
A semi-structured, standardised observation of communication, social interaction and restricted or repetitive behaviours.
Questionnaires
CAT-Q, AQ, RAADS-R or SRS-2 may contribute information within a broader clinical assessment.
Findings are interpreted alongside clinical interviews, developmental history, current functioning, relevant background information and collateral information where available.
