Information for Referrers

Breathe-n-Smile Psychology welcomes referrals from General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, NDIS Support Coordinators, and rehabilitation consultants. To ensure compliance with health privacy standards, please transmit the Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or referral letter via the secure channels below.

Clinical Scope & Modalities

Therapy is provided in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin for adults and older adolescents via in-person or telehealth consultations.

Funding Pathways & Fee Structure

Medicare (Better Access)

  • Standard Gap Fee: ~$105
  • Concession Gap Fee: ~$40*

*Limited concession or bulk-billing places are available for clients experiencing financial hardship upon the referring GP’s recommendation.

Third-Party (No Gap Fees)

  • WorkSafe / TAC (prior approval required)
  • 國家殘障保險計劃 (NDIS) (self-managed & plan-managed)
  • 犯罪受害者援助方案 (FAS) (Financial Assistance Scheme)

Approved sessions under these pathways incur zero out-of-pocket expenses for the client.

Communication & Risk Protocol

Collaborative care is a clinical priority. Referrers will receive a brief written acknowledgement upon commencement of treatment, followed by comprehensive clinical reports at the cessation of the designated referral block (e.g., post-session 6 and 10).

Risk Management: Immediate contact will be initiated with the referring practitioner should significant clinical risk, acute deterioration, or immediate safety concerns emerge during the course of psychological intervention.
